My boys, ages 9, 8 and 2, will not have their father to watch them grow up, guide them, or share in their milestones.
Today, I am a single mother. My husband Richard was a firefighter, and knew he was at higher risk of colon cancer because of his profession. He was diagnosed in August 2010 after months of tests, a clean colonoscopy, and a clean blood test.
What followed was a difficult and painful 22 months. Our boys meant the world to Richard. He was an amazing father, and he will be forever missed.

Colon Cancer Canada is proud to announce its partnership with the Ontario Professional Fire Fighters Association for the 2013 Push For Your Tush. We are hopeful that we will be able to reduce the number of fire fighters being diagnosed and ultimately dying Colon Cancer.
